With this kayak excursion we will be able to observe the beauty of the coves, caves, channels, cliffs, islands and all the corners that the bay of Sant Pol – S’Agaró hides in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. In addition, through the tour, the instructor will explain the history, nature and curiosities of the coastal place so that you can take an even more complete experience.

As a complement to the activity, we’ll stop the kayaks in a protected cove or bay to jump into the water with our mask and snorkel equipment to do some snorkelling. We will refresh ourselves while we enjoy observing the marine flora and fauna through the crystal clear blue and emerald green waters that this area offers you. We’ll be able to observe the local fish, as well as sea urchins, starfish and with a little luck, an octopus.

What will you learn on our kayaking and snorkelling activity?

Before starting the kayak route, our instructors will make an explanation on the beach of how to handle the kayak with the greatest of guarantees. We will teach you:

  • the kayak paddling technique
  • how to manage the canoe in any direction
  • the main manoeuvres: turns, braking, reversing, etc.
  • straighten the kayak in case it capsizes
  • brief safety instructions
  • how to use snorkelling equipment

Once we have the skill of handling a kayak we will go out to the sea and start our tour.

What kayaking route will we follow during our tour?

We are in a privileged bay that offers us different possibilities for kayaking tours and routes along the Costa Brava, all of them beautiful and interesting. Depending on the sea conditions we will decide to do one of these routes:

Kayaking route towards Sant Feliu de Guíxols (direction SOUTH): this route is full of coves and caves such as Cala Masset, Cala del Peix, Cala del Cranc, Cueva del Mussols, Cap de Mort, Cueva del Rat Penat, Cala del Molí or Cala Ventosa.

Kayaking route towards Playa de Aro (direction NORTH): we will paddle following the” Camino de Ronda“ by the sea that connects S´Agaró beach with Playa de Aro. In this area you will find the sunken ship, the corner of the Hotel de la Gavina, the Punta d’en Pau and its narrow passage, Cala Pedrosa, the viewpoint of S´Agaró and La Conca beach.
