Windsurfing Session (2 hours)

What will you learn in our 2 hours windsurf session?

In the initiation course you will learn the basic concepts on how to:

• Maintain balance on the board.
• Sail and body position suitable for each direction.
• Basic principles of windsurfing navigation.
• How to identify the different winds, and different maritime directions.

Details of the windsurfing initiation session

• Age: any age from 10 years.
• Duration: The duration of the session is 2 hours.
• Hours: Saturdays or Sundays to choose from our schedules in the morning from 12:30 to 14:30 h. or afternoons from 17:15 h to 19:15 h.
• Difficulty level: easy.
• Maximum group size: 6 people per instructor.
• Availability: check the course program with the BOOK button.
• Languages: We speak Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
• No previous experience or knowledge is required.
• It’s essential to know how to swim.

• You have always wanted to try windsurfing, but always thought that it was very difficult.
• You don’t have time to take a course, but you don’t want to miss the opportunity to try the sensations of sailing on a windsurf board.
• You want to try a session to see if it convinces you to sign up for a complete course.
• You plan to come to spend the weekend in the area and want to try a different activity.

What’s included in the windsurfing initiation session?

• Qualified instructor who will teach you the necessary theoretical knowledge.
• (latest generation boards) ideal for maximum stability and to learn with the greatest ease and agility possible. We have different volumes of boards from 160 litres to 240 litres to adapt to the characteristics and level of each student.
• Modern and light sails with different sizes to adapt to different wind conditions, and to adapt to the physical and level characteristics of each student. We have windsurfing sails from 2 m2 for the smallest and / or newcomers, up to larger 5 m2 sails for bigger or more experienced students.
• A simulator on the beach so you can learn the basic skills and movements and learn in safety conditions.
• Short or long wetsuits if necessary.
• Life jackets (mandatory).
• Support motor boat so that you can practice the course with the maximum of security and we can tow you if necessary.
• Civil Liability and Accident Insurance.
• A space in our facilities to leave personal belongings.

What do we advise you to bring?

• Sun protection cream.
• Gloves are recommended for people with sensitive skin.
• Croakies if you need to use prescription or sunglasses.
• Boards are made with non-slip material, but it is optional to bring some neoprene shoes if you have them.
• Spare clothes and towel for once activity is finished.

We have our own changing room and near our facilities there are showers on the beach and public toilets.

Other information

The course will start at the indicated time with the maximum punctuality possible. That’s why we recommend arriving 10 minutes in advance so you have time to prepare and we all start the activity on time.
